The Role

We are currently looking for a Property Lease Administrator to join the Property team in our Sydney Head Office. This is a newly created position, reporting directly into the Head of Property and you will be responsible for delivering highly effective accounts and administrative support across the leased store portfolio.

This position would ideally suit someone with a property admin background (commercial) or an accounts background looking for a new and exciting challenge in a retail environment, in a role that you can develop and grow.

 

What you’ll do

  • Accurate and timely processing of rental invoices in accordance with lease agreements including preparation of monthly rent payment files.
  • Ensure Property Management database is kept up to date with correct data concerning key lease information such as expiry dates, annual reviews, rental charges & incentives.
  • Maintain payment data accuracy in the system to ensure correct lessor/managing agent and banking details.
  • Effective resolution of queries with Landlords.
  • Develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Produce Lease Management Reports from the system and assist with Budget Reports.

What will make you successful?

  • Demonstrated experience in a retail property administration role or accounts/bookkeeping background.
  • Intermediate user of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel), as well as exposure to a lease management system and/or accounts payable system.
  • Be a proactive self-starter, with the ability to work autonomously and take initiative.
  • Some understanding of the Retail Leases Act and property law is advantageous, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
  • Undergraduate qualification in a property/accounts/business related discipline is advantageous.
